Tools such as in-form consent require clients to acknowledge their understanding at various stages. You can also track the time spent on each section to gauge whether it aligns with the complexity of the information presented. Clients can highlight sections and request real-time clarifications from their adviser, similar to adding comments in Microsoft Word.

AI can expedite processes while keeping you in control, acting as your co-pilot rather than an autopilot.

How should advisers handle client complaints with AI offerings?

AI will not replace your client relationships; it will enhance them. You will still manage communications, understanding which clients prefer traditional methods. Your communication channels should remain open for clients. You know your clients best and can discern if some are not as tech-savvy or are resistant to AI. Even if only a portion of your clients adopt new processes, it still saves time and gives you efficiency gains.

Is using AI to present advice ethical?

Using AI as a complementary tool is ethical provided you disclose its use to your clients and manage its use ethically. We recommend discussing new systems with your clients and gathering their feedback. Use clear disclosures to ensure they understand how AI is integrated throughout the advice process.

How do you protect clients’ personal information when using AI platforms?

Avoid inputting clients’ personal details into AI tools without their permission. Presenting an SOA does not require the avatar to use the client's unique identity data; instead it is used to explain the strategies and recommendations.
